Provide humanitarian aid to displaced persons and the civilian population of Ukraine.
Protect the space for neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian action, so that aid actors can maintain access to the civilian population and those not involved in the fighting, such as detainees or sick people.
Since the beginning of the conflict, the Ukrainian Red Cross has distributed more than 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid throughout the country, including food, water, clothing, blankets, tents, hygiene items and other household goods. In addition, the Ukrainian Red Cross has provided psychosocial support and first aid to more than 42,000 people through its volunteer staff. At border points, Red Cross teams are organizing safe rest spaces for mothers and children fleeing the country, providing them with water, food and hygiene items.
The rapid teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross have provided support for the evacuation of more than 58,000 people, in collaboration with the emergency and health services to care for the injured population.
